Just some "food for thought" on this lovely Tuesday day...
One thing I admire about guys (other than their ability to eat whatever they want without consequence, and pee standing up therefore avoiding gross public toilet seats...) is that they do what they want to do. I realize this is probably a gross generalization, but hear me out here.
For example - on Thursday you tell you friend that you want to go out on Saturday. You genuinely really want to go out and have the best intentions of doing so. Saturday rolls around and you're exhausted. It's nasty out. There's nothing you want to do more than go to BB, rent a NR (new release), grab some snacks, and chill out for the night in comfy clothes. However, since you are a girl (and if you are like me, you're a "yes girl" who tends to over-commit herself), you feel obliged to keep the date. A guy would straight up say, "nah, not up to it anymore". A girl feels guilty about saying no, goes anyway, and then complains about how she shouldn't have gone out.
I always get jealous of my boyfriend when he does what he wants to do regardless of what other people want him to do. I think girls would be a lot less sneaky and complicated if they just said what they wanted to say, and did want they wanted to do! It's a pretty empowering thing. I think we all respect people that speak their mind and are unapologetic, so why are we so afraid to do so? What's the worst that could happen - someone calls you a bailer, or a bitch? Meh, there are worse names. Like...being called a "plain Jane" or "no personality", or (and in my opinion, the WORST thing to be called) BORING! My HS friends and I swear by the philosophy that it's better to be weird than to be boring.
That's all. Just had to state my piece. Hope everyone's having a nice Tuesday wherever you are! Check the video below for a blow-your-mind rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You". Crazy, right!?
